At school every year we have an event called the Chorus Competition . It's where people get into a group or stay solo and make songs. The group or solo artist with the best reviews, votes, and music overall gets a trophy in the shape of a music note. But it also helps if you want to get into a musical arts college or a music career. The career and college is why most people do it. Some people just wanna have fun, and some warnna show off. Me, I do it because I like music. It's always been my passion to make music, so, I guess it's for the career. But I have a friend with me, she likes music too. we both wanna get a career from it, but, will we win? Other POV @NickixBailey.

Erika Taylor is the complete opposite of her geeky, science- and technology-driven family. She writes songs and creates the backing tracks for them, but no one in her family knows that. Especially her sister, who is obsessed with a show called "Choosing Right", and of course, secretly applied for her sister to be in it, while Erika had dreams of attending a small school for producing music outside of her parent's knowledge. And, as it so happens, she gets chosen to be one of the competitors on the show. Now, she has to spend a long thirty-two weeks convincing a boy to either fall in love with her or make sure she never catches feelings for him. When it comes down to it, can she keep the hundreds of secrets from everyone she knows or does time tell all? DISCLAIMER: please don't steal my idea, storyline, or the alternate universe I've created (although I'd probably be flattered), and most of the songs in this book are mine (you'll know which ones aren't but those aren't mine to begin with), so please don't steal those either because those are really hard to write
