This is a book about a girl, who has a lot on her, and she is basically a hitman. Her "mother" tells her where to go and who to kill, then they move. It's not fair to the girl. This tells a story from a broken girl's view. She hurts on the inside and rips herself apart for others. She wants to be a regular, average teenager. She tries and tries and tries, but she never feels good enough. Her cover is that she is a shy nerd, who moves a lot, and gets bullied. This story, hopefully, tells you how a girl views things emotionally and mentally.
I am Eliza Underwood and I go to Cleff High School in Virginia. I am in 11th grade and I just moved to Cleff. People here look at me like I am unwanted and useless, looks that I am used to by now, but it still somehow affects me. Over the few years, I have moved 8 different times. I hate this about my foster mom's new job. So, we move a lot. I don't have a lot of friends, and I really hate school. Anyway, it's my first day at Cleff and I already know that everyone hates me. My mom told me to keep my cover, as if I didn't already know that. I always keep my cover. I am just a nerd, or so everyone thinks.

My friends are slipping, I'm slipping, everything I've worked so hard to keep normal has gone away completely. I've lost my grip on reality, and I'm being forced into the world of the paranormal. " this all is your fucking fault" all of a sudden I was slammed against my locker,towering over me was my arch enemy 'Sam the Dam'. || COMPLETED || I want to be ready for college, but I'll be leaving everything behind. I don't want to forget my mom, my friends, or the memories made. Then again, I want to move on, run away from the heart break following me. I want to be free, I need to be free. For everything that I know, college could be a restart for highschool. A time where I don't make mistakes or where bad things don't happen, but I know they will. Though focusing on the negative won't lead me anywhere. Sadly though, that's all I ever learned to focus on. Learning things about my family that disgust me, learning about family members I didn't even know existed. It's all new, like morphing into a new body, you have to learn how to control. Sadly I don't know how to control myself, I can't control my emotions. I want to be ready for college, I am. She currently lives in a house with her mother who she is really close to, Her stepfather how she kinda hated for trying to play the role as a father in her life, Her Step sister that is a year younger than her and they are quite best buds she also graduated with her. So yea, she gets along with the females but not the males. Her father was hit by a car protecting me, he shoved me out the way getting hit instead. So he got hurt because of me, I still blame my self for it. It was my fault, even if I was only 14 at the time, it was my birthday. But yet, my mother tried her best to keep me happy during the month of my brithday, it was useless, I felt pain. Like I'm the reason this shit happened. Yet my 18th brithday was the best, I got the best thing I could've ask for, so on I been better. Still something was telling me not to feel so free just yet, Something happened that affected me and all the people that I cared for, the people I held close to me. I took the risk of death for friends. I risked my self of my problems, the reason he was here was because of me, I'm not letting anybody get hurt because of my mistakes any longer. I'm taking the consequences for my actions. For somebody from my pass caught up with me. The corner of his mouth tilts upward slightly. I smile again. A smile!? A tiny one, but still. "Hm. So I got you to smile, that's progress, yeah? Can I get your name now?" I ask, swinging my feel a little. He shakes his head shyly, his mouth not moving at all. Geez! Why do I want to hear this dude talk so much? "Okay, that's fine. I can give you a nickname." I offer happily. He looks up from his book, raising his eyebrows. I just stare for a moment. He has nice eyes. Pretty brown chocolate orbs. They remind me so much of....... "Teddy." He shakes his head immediately, frowning. "What, why not? You remind me of my old teddy bear. He was a good listener and he didn't talk much..... just like you." I say softly, tilting my head. He continues to shake his head. I fold my arms, leaning back in my seat. "Yeah, it's definitely sticking. Teddy.....It has a nice ring to it, yeah?"
