I could feel the dried leaves crunch under my toes. The woods may have looked the same to someone else, but I knew where I was going. I always knew where I was going. I could feel my breath being exhaled every time I stretched my legs to run farther. Run, run, run. My dark long, brown, curly hair was being fluttered by the wind and I loved the feeling of it being whipped in the air. Almost there. I could almost see it. Oh the air smelled so enticing here. I felt as if I could do anything. My feet were so use to the Earth's ground and like always, I felt at home in the woods. They're getting closer, I could hear them. They were loud and disturbing.

The river. I could see it now. I threw myself into the water and swam to the other side. I couldn't help a smirk that slid onto my face. As I pulled myself out of the water, I saw the pack barely making it from the side of the river I came from. I turned around and faced four, breathless men, seperated by the river.

"Too slow. Go back to your territory, for I am no longer in yours." I smiled at that.

"What's your name?" One of the men said. His voice was stern and somewhat humiliated, not that I really cared.

My head turned to look back at them and the Alpha, I had the biggest smile that I couldn't seem to hold back.

"Alaska."

And I started to sprint towards the trees once more.

Highest ranking - #1 in Werewolf #2 in Attraction "Damn Bella, why the hell are you so stubborn?! You are my mate and if I want to mark you, I will fucking mark you." He growls, his fingernails digging into my sides. "No, you won't. Or you know the consequences." I say, almost giving in to the heat of the moment. This angers him further and he clutches my sides tighter. He leans in, inhaling my scent and ruthlessly attacks my neck. He mercilessly nips and kisses the area he is supposed to mark and I moan. "Why-'' He says between kisses, " do you deny this? This pleasure that I can make you feel. The bond that we share. Put an end to the agony Bella. Just give in." He persuades while he picks me up and I wrap my legs around his waist. Our bodies press together and I gasp feeling waves of pleasure and intense desire coursing through me. ''N-n-no." I stutter and he sighs in frustration. He slams me against the wall roughly and the next minute his lips are on mine. Arabella is a rogue. She lost her pack, her family and everything she had. This is a world where power and dominance stand above anything and everything else. This is a world where you don't want to run around in the dark. This is a world where love is nothing other than a meaningless word used to describe the indescribable feeling of having a Mate. This is a world where wolves are dominant and only the most powerful survive. This is the world Silas, a loner and the first full blooded wolf in history, was born into. The world where she must prove her dominance in order to survive. * * * Unbearable pain erupted through my body, almost instantly. Dizziness made the room swirl unnaturally and darkness threatened to take over. "Up," the Alpha repeated. I tried, but, once again, I was rendered immobile. Another large syringe full of the green and silver mixture was injected into my body. This process repeated, time and time again. My body could not handle it. The room spun in quick, repeating circles as darkness surged, covering everything I saw and felt with a thick, black blanket. I couldn't remember anything. Not who I was. Not where I was. Not who was with me. Not what I was supposed to be doing. But, as I lay there, unconscious, beginning to go insane with pain, I could still hear, still remember, him. I could remember the voice of someone I had met, not that long ago, that already meant the world to me. I could remember the feeling of our wolves connecting, all but the new fifth member of my body, who had led me to this dark, dangerous place. I could remember feeling, for the first time in years, what it felt like to be happy. I could remember his name. Jace. * * * I do not take credit for the picture used in the cover of this story. <ON HOLD>

"I said look at me," he growled as he grabbed my arm from the Gamma in a vice grip. I winced and finally looked up to his stunning grey eyes. 'Mate!' my wolf yipped happily, although she was very weak she got to sound very excited, but I didn't. I didn't want a mate, one that I am putting in danger. Those people said they would find me no matter where I ran to, I couldn't put my mate or his pack in danger. My wolf whimpered knowing it was the truth. "Kitten," my mate purred, before he growled, "mine!" softly as he let go of my arm and lightly touched my cheek, now I felt the sparks firing on my skin. 'Kitten? Was this guy for real?! Did it look like I had whiskers and meowed?' I mentally scolded at him.
