Murder, alcohol, and guns; a typical day for the protagonist of this story, Valor. A gun for hire, at least until the one and only Handsome Jack offers to pay what she wants... and more for a simple job: for her to be his bodyguard.
Valor gets much more than she bargains for (not that she can't handle it) once she takes the job, digging up her own skeletons, and his, and setting out on a dangerous mission to stop threats on her employer once and for all.
