The Bat is dead, gods destroyed cities and killed heroes, villains had retreated and some not even created yet. Nightwing must regain control over his crazy life, a year after the death of Bruce Wayne. A story taking inspiration from Batman comics, movies and video games, with the main character of this media being Dick Grayson, the first Robin sidekick and my personal favourite DC character. I'd like to highlight that this text is based around the concept of elseworlds, multiverses and parallel worlds. None of this is attempting to be canon, I will use some canon as the base for my writings, and I will also create my own canon. A Modern Joke
As an aspiring writer, it's difficult not to look at stories you love and wonder 'What if?' I have notice how the Joker's origin in The Killing Joke and the Joker movie (2019) both stories take place during the 1980s. But what if it took place today? That's what I try to answer! In this original work I explore how a complex character like the Joker could emerge and be influence by current social problems. It's a romantic, and specially mysterious short story that I wish one day could help me make it to DC as a comic book writer, and if I don't, at least I enjoyed writing it, and I hope you enjoy reading it!
