Only being a Junior in high school, Emma has been through a lot.
During her freshman year in high school, her older brother, Aidan, drowned during a float trip with his friends after the boat tipped and the current took him under.
7 months ago, Camden, Emma's boyfriend of two years, left her and started dating a girl named Naomi only a month later.
To top it all off, Emma's dad had taken up drinking after Aidan, his "beloved star baseball player who was going to do big things" died. Emma's dad became an alcoholic and abused her and her mother. He also had found a new hobby in sleeping with his intern, Patty.
While Emma is trying to stay connected to her two best friends and help her mother stay sane, she has been writing letters to Camden to express how she feels and to keep herself sane. Each letter starts with:

Last year I started this story but it was titled "Letters to My Ex-Lover", I really liked the story idea but I wanted to change a few things so I started this story again. You should enjoy this version more!
