What happens when you grow up in a den of foxes? Doomed to a life as an outcast, young Katanya Vosk lives in a household that's chilliness rivals the air of northern kingdom where she resides. Day in and day out as she grows, Katanya continues to suffer under the frigid stares of the servants, and the icy attacks of her father, Lord Vosk. her only solace lies in her elder brother, Deangelo. Oh also the glowing lights. They were always such great conversationalists... but that's beside the point... under such harsh conditions, any flower would wither. However, as Katanya will soon find out, nothing lasts forever. The warm winds of change will soon sweep into town, under everyone's noses. The only question is, will Katanya be able to withstand them? Will the end of her isolated, sheltered life as a noble girl lead to a better path?
