Mermaids aren't real. There's no way that half fish women sink men's ships. Or at least that's what Mason believes as he boards his dream ship and sets sail. He's dreamed of living on the sea and now it's finally happening. Little does he know, the world below is not as beautiful as he imagined.

A story similar to a classic fairy tale, but with a major twist ... What if the little mermaid were a deep sea merman instead? And what if the human he fell in love with went to live with him in the sea instead? Though born as a regular human on land, Henrietta always felt as if she were suffocating. She struggled to survive and belong among her kind. On a night when she sought to end her life at sea, she was rescued by Elsen, a merman who had once felt the same as her. Despite coming from different worlds, their shared experiences instantly built a bridge between them. When misfortune struck again, Henrietta lost her home and was driven to the edge once more. Seeing that she had nowhere else to go, Elsen brought her to his home in the deep sea. Although the ocean depths were tranquil and soothing, Henrietta's heart was still plagued with worries. And she soon discovered that Elsen also had yet to defeat his own demons. Will these two broken souls finally heal and come to love not only each other but themselves as well?
