Juggling college level courses, sports, music, studying and a social life is hard for every high school junior, including Mariee. She wants a scholarship for music, but being on the varsity water polo team causes certain conflicts. With a fear of being loved but a dream of loving someone, she tries to crawl out of her shell. Her anxiety can't hold her back, the other varsity athletes can't hold her back, no one will stand in her way... Or will they?
Meet Paul, a egotistical soccer player who just moved to Mariee's high school just in time for the first day. Personalities seem to clash, but go together at the same time. Is this what Mariee needed? Or is Paul going to distract her, causing her to miss the one shot of going to college on a full-ride scholarship for music?

She was super quiet, she probably went unnoticed a lot, but she's so super pretty, super smart, she had a lot of classes with me, and she even did some of the same after school activities as me, she's so perfect. A very dysfunctional high school orchestra. Based on a true story and told between two friends, this orchestra can't get along, but issues aside, they can play wonderfully together. After all, enemies can't make music with each other, or can they? ~~~~~ This was written thanks to my best friend at the time inspiring me to put my crazy tale of a year down on paper. A majority of this did actually occur during my school year. Sadly, Orchestra programs are disappearing from schools but we won the right to keep ours and get more funding.
