William and his family have just moved to Texas to get away from their troubling past back in Utah, but bad luck follows them everywhere and every time, something goes horribly wrong for the family or someone around them. William comes into contact with his childhood friend Henry Miller, when they meet and discuss of their families and how they're both out of jobs, and idea transforms into what appears to be a family restaurant chain.
