Serena Marino has lived her entire life with no red string. No soulmate. Everyone has a red string, a single strand of fate that can lead one to their confidante. Even if someone was rich or poor, young or old, optimistic or pessimistic, they had a soulmate.
Serena envied those around her who knew who they would spend the rest of their lives with. The poor girl was teased ever since she was little, just for being alone. Those around her called her an outcast, a freak, a waste of space, just because she wasn't able to see the red string.
Because of this, Serena has suffered with feeling empty her whole life. The only people that cared for her was her parents, who were soulmates. Serena is now seventeen years old, still without a soul mate, and still lonely. This is the story of how she finally saw her red string of fate.
