They say love works in mysterious ways. They say love could come as anything, a broken, lost soul, or a youthful, free-spirited soul.

Ellie Mack wasn't looking for love. In fact, that was the last thing on her mind. Her main focus was to get through college and focus on a career. So imagine the things going through her mind when she meets Marcus, the son of San Francisco's best lawyer. She knew she hated him the moment she met him. Or so she thought..

Now Ellie's pulled into the world of love, heartbreak, and drama. Though her first instinct was to stay away, something kept bringing her back. It doesn't help that her haunted past keeps popping up after seven years. Maybe love really does work in mysterious ways.
