My name is Spirit. I am a shape-shifter who was cursed five hundred years ago. I won't pretend I was a pure soul. I did terrible things in my past. I was brutal a killer used by those with power as a way to keep their people in line. One man was the worst. Braktor was his name and he was born of pure evil. He wanted to destroy those who had wronged him and like a fool I joined his cause. I murdered countless humans, elves, shape-shifters and other races we live amongst. Until one day I met the man who changed my life. He pulled me from the horrors of my past and made my future bright once again. But there are some who can never forgive. Years of happiness came to an end and I retreated into the mountains. I was alone for so long but one day it all changed. An elf girl came to me and I was thrust back into the world around me. I must help her find the man I still love but I can never be with him again. I think it will be simple but there are things making it impossible. The darkness is crawling from its hiding place and I fear Braktor is finding the strength to pull himself out of the pits. I must keep those I love safe but they are determined to get in harm's way.

But I had enough of the tugging, the clawing, the moaning, the crying and pleading for them to stop, but simply feeding them with our pain. "Who are you?" He asked eyes as wide and bright as the moon. His expression didn't even fit his pretty face anymore, it was just plastered there laughing at me crushing me down. This is not me! I don't get emotional and break down. I was raised to be strong and fight these horrible beasts that murdered my family. I took a look at him. He was all tied up and bruised. His dress shirt was wet and torn with blood all over it. I hated how he looked, it broke me down. "Answer me!" He yelled nearly in my face. I closed my eyes shut and felt a tear leave my eye. I met Josh Teris when i was attacked by a pack of werewolves. He was on the side of the creak when i saw him i could tell he was a werewolf, he had a dark and dangerous look to him. He was the most beautiful man I've ever seen, he was clueless so i lied to him my name and made up a whole different person that i wasn't. Maybe i did it because i wanted to get away from the life i had. Be normal for just one second. My life was based on rules and whenever i was with him he made me feel alive. I knew danger was lurking in his way. When it came it revealed all of me. Secrets came out and things started to reveal that i never thought was true myths that i read about in old books at least i thought they were myths. In the few moments after I say those words, there is utter silence and the only thing I hear is the sound of my blood hitting the water in the tub, which is already painted red. We run away from something I don't know. I just know that there is something that was pulling me through a deep unknown darkness. But he was there and now we are running away. I don't know who he is yet I trusted him with all my life. For that instant, I knew my heart belongs to him. *** *** "I didn't mean to love you yet I love you so much I cannot hold you so tight." I said those words and I couldn't stop myself not to feel the bitterness of the truth we are going to face. But still I hold her hand even though I know that it isn't right. We run and I save her. Yet, I don't know it was the beginning and I don't want to find out the ending. Still, the end is near and I cannot hold her even though my heart already belongs to her.
