LIES: The Book of Secrets

"I can never understand. Why does this happen? Why do I do this to myself? I don't mean anything I say! Please forgive me- I didn't mean it! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! No- Please don't! Don't touch me! Don't take me!- Ah!" Everything is black now. I can't see, I can't hear. But I can feel myself floating somewhere. It's not like water at all. It doesn't feel like any sort of liquid. I'm not sure where I'm going, but I can feel it taking me somewhere. I feel the motion, but I don't figure out which way it goes either. I'd try to feel my way around, but I can't even move. I try as hard as I can but I can't as so much as even swallow the pressure building up in my throat. The suffocating pressure is killing me. I can barely breathe. It's like I'm being engulfed in myself. That's exactly what's happening.

I'm getting lost in myself. I'm nothing but my consciousness. I don't know where the real world is. It feels like I've been here forever, I lost track of time. It's so cold here, so desolate. I wish someone were here to save me. I wish I wasn't forgotten, a lost memory. I wish I was happy, and strong once again.. whatever happened to that me? I don't feel like myself anymore, who am I? It's a question that I've tried to ask myself, but I can't find the answer. I can't rhyme with senseless words.

The world is cruel, and this is what it did to me.
