Orihime laid on her bed as she allowed her mind to think freely, her face buried in a pillow as tears flowed out. He had died right in front of her, and the pain she had felt was surreal. All her thoughts were of him; his hand wanting to grasp hers, his curious stare boring into her own, and his unemotional eyes which had stayed distant even as he died.
She had opened up to him and he listened. He was the only who cared for her health at least a little and was the only person who kept her sane throughout the whole ordeal, and she was thankful.
Her doorbell rang which snapped her back into reality and she lazily got up to open the door
while at the same time rubbing her eyes. The sight she saw woke her completely and for the first time in a while, she genuinely smiled, for the one she longed to be with... was back.
