The American Government, in 2094, fell due to a harsh political climate that contributed to a power struggle between the political parties throughout the majority of the twenty-first century.
Now, five years later, after a long war and one final, nuclear attack, most of the United States stands in ruins, save for a few untouched locations among the West Coast. A socialist organization that helped bring down the government from the inside has now aligned in alliance with outside countries and combed through the remains of America in search of resources and survivors, in the hopes of creating a new nation.
Among those survivors is Adrian, a girl who ran to escape fascist rebels who were trying to take control what was once her Mid-Western hometown. Half-starved and weakened from running, Adrian finds herself with the Black Guard, who provide her with food and shelter and the training necessary to protect herself from the group of men who lurk at the borders of Black Guard territory, seeking to restore the broken American Government.
Among the Black Guard is Carter, a boy who trained throughout the war to be a combat medic and now, at twenty-two serves as part of a rescue team for war survivors. He is assigned to Adrian's refugee case and takes her under his wing to train her and assimilate her to life within the small society that the Black Guard has built.
But as the Black Guard's enemies grow in number, danger seems to draw near, putting everything that the Black Guard have built at risk, meaning the newly formed colony must race to prepare to defend itself from being completely annihilated.
Adrian and Carter must struggle to grow and survive among the turmoil of the now anarchist grounds of what was formerly America, relying on each other and the few people close to them.
Season 4 of The Virus Within
Trinity is familiar with zombies, being one herself, but when strange zombies start appearing, she realizes that the world she knew might be changing yet again.
When a dangerous set of scientific notes are discovered, Trinity and her friends don't realize anything is wrong until a frantic radio call comes in. Unaware of the notes, they race to the south and struggle to determine where the strange zombies came from. The zombies are unlike any ranks previously seen, and they aren't as predictable. Some have new tricks hidden up sleeves, forcing any Stronghold they encounter to quickly adapt to the new challenge or risk being overrun. Secrets never remain hidden, and zombie apocalypses never make life easy.
