Well guess what life gave me?

Shit

Absolute shit.

The life I was given, was pure chaos. It was full of hardships and tribulations that always tested me every single day. Although, I like to think of it as taking them as challenges and facing the hardest things to make me stronger. Preserving through hardships, it showed me discipline and responsibility. When I lost my parents, I was only a meekly seventeen year old and my younger sister was only eight. Adelina had been my rock even though she is only a child. Having the responsibility of my sister so soon before I turned eighteen wasn't something I was really expecting.

Unfortunately, my parents were murdered and I was left to fend for Adelina and myself. The truth is that I knew the reason why they were murdered. My mom and dad were working under the CIA and I was always aware that their line of work was difficult.

Swiftly coming back from my sense of thought, I see a shadow from the peripheral of my eye. I crouch and slowly walk away from the window that separated the office and the gym. I grab the pistol from behind my pants and take the safety off.

"Shh, do you think she's in there?" a not so quiet voice questioned.

"Why are you loudly whispering, dumbass?" Someone asked louder than the whisper.

"Sorry." He mumbled.

Looking through the hole that was on the door, I notice four guys on the other side.

"It's locked." One of them said, trying to turn the doorknob. The one who appeared to be the leader of the four pinched his nose and shook his head. He smacked him and turned the knob the other way. I backed away quickly and hid under the desk.

"Didn't you see the sign right there in your face to turn the knob a specific way?" The leader said.

"Ohhhh, you're right." He chuckles nervously.

They all enter the office and stand around the desk. Two of them start bullying the other guy who couldn't open the door and the leader clears his throat. "She's not here."
