Book One of the 'Children of The Night' Series "I had truly been left alone to die" "It felt as though I was coming back to an old friend, a place where I called home; the place I was safe. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case." A first person narrative that takes you on the short adventure inside the previous home of the Connors family. Donovan Connors makes his way about the home, on his search for his belongings and intending to leave this house as simply as that. However, the monsters that lurk inside are not willing to let him go; they aren't willing to pass up their chance of escaping the prison that they've been trapped in for so long. ~';'~ Note from the Author ~';'~ This story I have had forever in my imagination; in my head. I had not come around to go forth and make it come alive until now and I truly felt proud in this story and I wanted to share it with everyone. This is my first ever piece of writing that I've ever written in first person, I've always been afraid to write in first person, because I never tried to. As I was eager to tell this tale, I thought telling it in first person would be the best fit.

I'd always heard the voices. From being a young child when the doctors had long since given up trying to find a cause, the voices woke me, screaming, in the night. But then, they began to guide me. When I started to find the dead bodies - animals, children - I was called a psychic. I was used to help, but I could only find what the voices wanted to show me. But then, one day, the killer chose another victim. It chose me, and only the voices could save me. Except, they weren't just voices. They were.... - Whilst on a long (7.5) hour flight to Wattpad HQ in Toronto, I was watching the film Solace. Part way through, an idea threw itself into my mind and I had to stop the film and start writing immediately. I also had another idea later on, again which I had to write down. This is the first of those ideas and is written for the #OnceUponNow promotion. Don't worry, Red Queen is being worked on too, but sometimes you just need to purge yourself of a story to be able to continue on with another.
