Before any of the boys were sent up, a girl was there. For two years, she was stuck in the maze. Instead of staying in the small area in the center of the maze, she lived within the maze itself. Once a month, she would go to the center to retrieve the supplies that came up in the "Freefall" as she called it. Making a small home on top of one of the larger walls, safe from the monsters, she hid for the next three years. However, she was finally discovered when she saved the life of one of the boys.
