It's been five years since than. Five years of torture. Five years of missing Levi. Five years of trying to find Levi. But Eren gave up, having the thought of he died, but his promise kept him to thinking he's not dead. He graduated from college and has a great job. 

Him, being one of the top business mens in his area, he and some new upper business mens are separated from natural work and starts working under someone new, Rivaille Savior. Meeting him once again, Rivaille has to pretend to not know who Eren is. Or, did he really forgot who Eren is?
