You know the story where the good guy defeats the bad guy, gets the girl and everything ends up better than it was when the story started? This is not one of those stories.

During the Salem Witch Trials, five bloodlines were the most well known. Proctor, Putnam, Good, Nurse and Walcott. Everyone believed the Putnam bloodline died out, but this is false.

After his first attempt of gaining more power failed, Chase Collins was found barely alive by a very powerful witch. She takes him in, showing him that each coven has different rules for their magic usage. When Chase finds out that this girl can use her magic without aging, he becomes convinced that he can seduce the secret out of her. But when a powerful enemy shows itself and takes the young girl, Chase must face his true feelings and beg fir help where he least expected to. Caleb Danvers.

This is not the story to read if you love a happy ending where the bad guy doesn't get what he wants. But it's a hell of a lot more fun.
