Elisa Prentis struggles to find anything more interesting than stringing together metaphors and rhymes.
Writing in her cliche neighborhood coffee house and publishing her works online give Elisa a sense of insatiable control and clarity, something only her poetry can provide.

But what happens when a mysterious texter begins to talk to her about performing her poetry at a slam competition? Live and in front of all these people that have so much in common with her?

Will this ominous texter be the rise to Elisa's fame or her downfall into darkness?

36 parts Complete

**COMPLETED** "Then leave. Come with us." I almost laugh at the absurdity of his suggestion, "I can't. I can't just leave. They'll never let me just leave." Friendship, family, adventure and maybe even love, but then reality bites back, a new threat arises and suddenly Elisa has to face her past, even if it means risking everything.
