Are these images just dreams? Is someone trying to warn me, and if so, why? What happened to me and why can't I remember?

These are the questions that run through Shelby Wilson's mind after waking up in Memorial Hospital.

Shelby's life was as normal as any high school student, until the day she survived a near fatal car accident. Now every time she goes to sleep, visions of a man killing young women invade her dreams. However, the murderer's identity remains a mystery as the visions are only seen through his eyes.

Shrugging it off as just nightmares, Shelby tries to go on with her life. When she learns that these women are the same victims of the Woodland High Killings, Shelby goes to the police in hopes to aid in the capture of the killer. Little does she know, this bold move brings attention to herself not only from her peers and the police, but the killer himself. When Shelby's last dream shows a vision of her own murder, she must quickly dig-up clues to learn the identity of this killer before it's too late.

"It's been four years since I slept, and I suspect it is killing me." Instead of sleeping, Parker Chipp spends each night trapped in the dream of the last person he's made eye contact with. Every night he is crushed by other people's fear and pain, by their disturbing secrets--and Parker can never have dreams of his own. The severe exhaustion from his brain never truly sleeping is crippling him. If nothing changes, Parker could soon be facing the real life nightmares of psychosis and even death. Then he meets Mia. Her dreams, calm and beautifully uncomplicated, allow him blissful rest that is utterly addictive. There is no denying how badly Parker needs it. When he starts going to bizarre lengths to catch Mia's eye every day, everyone at school thinks he's gone over the edge, even his best friend. And when Mia is threatened by a true stalker, everyone thinks it's Parker. Suffering blackouts, Parker begins to wonder if he is turning into someone dangerous. What if the monster stalking Mia is him after all?
