Serenity, a 15 year old, is moving to another town. She's a dancer who was well known in her town. She wasn't only well known as a dancer, but as a young girl who lost her mother to cancer. Dance numbs all her pain away. Her father had remarried to another woman and he decided it was time to move on.
New school, new friends, new dance studio. How can she make it through without the pain lurking around?
A boy named Yuri lives in the town. He goes to school, and goes home. A regular routine. He's a broken ice skater; recovering from an injury that almost ended his career. He's a well known ice skater trying to find himself again. Damaged from the incident, no one knows what he does to numb the pain away.
They meet, and their worlds collide. Not knowing that there is still hope in this world, and their hope is right in front of them. Bumps and obstacles are in their path, but sticking together when they don't want to brings them closer.
