There are two kinds of people in high school. The ones who sail through and the others who are in for a bumpy ride. Emily Jones is an awkward, clumsy, overachieving introvert who definitely falls into the second category. Her only wish is to graduate with good grades, steer clear of drama, and hopefully have a little fun.
Her carefully made plans go for a toss when her long time crush and the school's golden boy, Austin Waters takes an interest in her. She has to navigate the treacherous waters of high school rivalry, infatuation, jealousy, friendship and somehow manage to hold her own in his crazy, chaotic world.
