They try to escape the grasp of WICKED as they make their way through the Scorch in search of the Right Arm. Cara struggles with personal issues and traumas that have been brought back along with her memories. Newt tries to hold her hand every step of the way. Newt and Sonya were sick of living in London, so they moved in with their Grandparents who lived in a small town in Colorado. It was their cheapest option overall. Over the summer Newt decided to get a job at a Café and one day a boy named Thomas comes in with his group of friends and becomes regulars- and becomes friends over the last month of the summer. Since it's a small town, they end up going to the same school. And that, Newt's regular customer Thomas was the one he fell in love with.
