Millicent Larsson has always been the crazier one among her friends. Just not because of her newly functioning gift of vision, a not so rare ability to glimpse into the future. And after all the world is dead and nothing remains, that shall be the only truth. Or so she wishes. Discovering that you were never ordinary and least of all that nor were some of your friends, becomes a little hard to adjust to. Especially when you want a very 'normal' life. Trying to not let an extra sight make her blind to her current life she turns a back to the stuff of science fiction in her own life. Only the world will never let her forget how different her family is. A chance meeting with Olivia and Valerian one too many times to be called coincidence, the intriguing pair make her wish that her granny dearest would've told her all about the family history of insanity. If that was not enough, the family marriage registry is trying to hook her up with her own best friend, another "gifted" individual. Not that both will ever be interested in each other. Only if it was a normal year in her life..

In this world, there are some people who get their happily ever afters and others who don't. Those who get their magical fairytale romance, cherish it for as long as it lasts while the others never get to enjoy the wonders of a fairytale. Instead, they are forced to stay inside their hopeless reality and grow old thinking about what they did to deserve never getting their once upon a time. I think those are the ones who wanted it bad enough. They craved a fairytale more than life itself. Devoted their lives to Disney movies and romance books just to be let down by the real world. I think I'm destined to be one of those people. Then he showed up. And fucked up everything I thought I knew.
