Within the whimsical and marvelous kingdom of Velarys is the most harrowing and secretive guild of them all; the Knights of Ren. The prestigious group of warriors hosts some of the most deadly warriors within the land, including the king's wicked son Mace Imperium, Velarys's dark prince. When Asterin Styth is recruited from the guild, she begins to learn the ways of the Knights and their leader, Mace.
