"I looked around with a start as I woke up, the taste of iron in my mouth. Looking down at my hands, I realized they were covered in blood and my gut twisted. Was it mine, or someone else's? When did I do this? I wondered if the nightmare I'd had the week before was a warning that this would happen. I needed to figure out what was going on. But how could I do it when I was blacking out every second?"

When Mark starts blacking out and waking up in random places, having unknown nightmares, and disturbing violent thoughts, he fears that Darkiplier could be on the rise.

Fearing everything he's ever known and loved is at stake, he tries to save himself and his friends through isolation. However, when his darker feelings start hitting to close to home, he begins to question himself and his own actions. He had to save everyone from himself, even if it meant war.
