Clare Collins is a fifteen year old school drop-out, pursuing a life of fame and riches as an actress. After three years, her small-time agent insists that she returns to high school to complete her education, back to the school where she grew up, St Madalynn's College. Clare finally gives in and returns with her friend Riley who also attended the same school as a child but nothing is as she remembers. The students all bear markings of brown, white, blue and red which Clare and Riley soon come to learn represent the four elements: earth, air, water and fire. The students and teachers of St Madalynn's can control the elements and when Clare reaches her sixteenth birthday and remains unmarked she begins to worry. Will she ever fit in inside the world she has been involved in from birth? Will she ever find where she belongs?

[Book 1] Twelve-year-old Skylar Sparks never wanted to be special. She was perfectly fine being a Non-Elemental, dreaming of a normal life in London-high school, university, and a future as a Zoologist. But when monstrous Nagas attack her city, everything changes. Skylar becomes the one thing she never expected, the one thing she grew up reading about, the one thing she hated: the Chosen One. Now, as the only Light Elemental in Stelarinia, she's thrown into a world where she's seen as an abomination. Tasked with finding the lost Relics, starting with the Fire Crown, she must navigate ruthless rivals, biased teachers, ancient prophecies, and dangerous creatures lurking in the shadows-all while barely understanding her own Element. With her twin brother by her side, unlikely friendships forming, and a strict Master who prefers whacking her with his staff over giving clear instructions, Skylar must figure out how to survive magical school, master her abilities, and stay alive until the Blue Moon Festival. But there's a problem- everyone expects her to fail. And in a world where being the Chosen One means being hunted, failure isn't an option.
