Avelon and Avalin Chase(Ave and Lin), are twins with a somewhat tragic past...most of which they can't remember. At least not the parts before the death of their parents, and even those details are fuzzy. All they know is that after the accident they were carted from one frosted home to another,never staying in one home for more than a couple months. But when they're taken in by their latest foster mother, Amy Hilt, things seem to be looking up having stayed in the same place for six months so far. Life seems to be going great until things start to happen. Unusual things. Having strange dreams, seeing things that aren't really there, things moving, creatures appearing and disappearing. It seems like somthing straight out of a Jessica Sorensen novel (Lin's favorite).
Little do the twins know this isn't their first encounter with the supernatural. They're only noticing it now, and this....
