After discovering his girlfriend's corpse, he tried to turn her to save her, but with no idea what he was doing it inevitably backfired in the worst possible way. Instead of the peaceful reunion he'd expected, the girl woke up screaming. Writhing in agony. Decaying. With no memories, no personality, and barely enough awareness to know how to walk, Victoria was reduced to a mere shell.
