here's a preview for my newest book <3

Faye Madison is a private agent working for NCIS in North America. She knows all the tricks criminals have up their sleeves, and knows how to trick them. But not this time. Just recently, she received a call from a Canadian detective agency, requesting her immediate help in Victoria, British Columbia. A hotel front-desk man had been shot and murdered brutally and nobody knows who shot him. Faye, thinking it was just a regular shooting, wonders why she was called to a different country, until Canadian secret agent Thomas Cas comes into the picture. The criminal mastermind known as Nikit Kriukov has broken out of a highly guarded Canadian prison and is determined to find a bomb/micro-chip filled with military codes and information on both Canada and America that he hid almost five years prior after being arrested on illegal entrance charges. Believing the bomb might be in Victoria, both Thomas and Faye must find both the chip and Nikita before it detonates. Little do they know that the chip itself has been implanted somewhere entirely different since Kriukov was arrested, and it now lies in the hands of seventeen year old boy.

As she tries to solve the mystery from a distance while in witness protection, the connections keep getting weirder and more personal. Might she be able to relate to the killer in a way that no one else can? And what does that mean about her own psyche? *2019 Watty Award for Mystery/Thriller* [[word count: 50,000-60,000 words]] Cover designed by April Alforque
