The Journey to Love
~Summary~ Yami was tired of of being treated like he was a delicate gem in his kingdom. You see, he was the second child of King Sugoroku, meaning his older twin brother by a couple minutes, Yugi, was the heir of the throne. Therefore, he was treated like a jewel, made sure to be guarded at all times, and he hated that. All he wanted was to be treated like everyone else, not some fragile thing that needed to be protected at all times. One day, Yami snaps and runs away after an argument with his father. After an injury leaves him exposed in the dead of the night, a boy from a rivaling kingdom finds him and does the most unexpected thing. Yami Atem, a once cruel and heartless king, was obsessed with power and therefore, only cared for himself. However, because of his cold heart and selfish ways, he paid the ultimate price: Becoming a hideous dragon beast. Now Yami has one year to make things right by falling in love with another, who will return those same affections, otherwise he will remain with the doomed fate of staying a dragon beast forever. However, due to his ghastly form, he has locked himself away in his castle, abandoning the idea that he could break this curse, for who could ever love a beast such as he? Yugi Motou is a young man who only wishes for someone to understand what it's like to be an outcast, to be misunderstood by the world all because you're different in some way. It may seem like a petty thing I ask for, but to Yugi, it would mean the world to have someone who knows just what it's like to feel unwanted all because you're different. However, while going to run an errand for his grandfather, Yugi accidently stumbles upon a castle with a shining blue rose to light his path, meeting the infamous Yami Atem. So then, what will come when these two meet, and can Yugi break through Yami's thick walls to restore what he has lost or will it be too late to warm his frozen heart? Yami Yugi who had came back of his own will and own body returns back to Yugi one day out of the blue only to find out to his dismay that the small duelist has quit school and been supporting himself since his grandpa had passed away. This causes him to become a full parental figure for him and adopt him as his own 'Son'. With both making a promise to each other a plan is set; Yugi goes to school while Yami gets a job to support them both. Yami finds a job but as a stripper in a new nightclub which isn't okay with Yugi but chooses to support him anyways, but only with the promise of him not doing anything else dangerous. Stripping isn't enough to support them both which brings the once great duelist to selling his body for even more extra cash, which gives him hardly any time to spend with Yugi since he's always exhausted. Yami who is always sexually harassed by clients at the nightclub or abused from time to time by certain clients on the streets makes him realize he's only digging his own grave more but continues stepping on broken eggshells continuously breaking Yugi more by the day. Though he still has some morals, Yami is willing to go far in every way possible to support his 'Son', the only thing he won't do is kiss his clients or anyone else for that matter on the lips. Seto Kaiba who hears rumors of a easy stripper and prostitute both by the name of 'Dark Magician' gets curious to see if it's really his rival but to his dismay finds out is facts desperate to get him out of the mess he made showing that he in fact has feelings for his rival. What will Yami do when his rival finds out? Will he accept his help or just continue digging his own grave?Complete

Yami is finding it difficult being away from everyone and now has returned to being Atem. A few years has passed and Yami finally has a mirror into Yugi's world and is able to see what he is up to. Unfortunately it isn't going well with Yugi as he is not the happy teen he used to be. Yami has had enough of watching and begs the gods to let him return and they do, giving him the body he used to have. What will happen when Yugi meets up with Yami again and when Yami has seen what has happened to Yugi. I do not own Yugioh or it's characters, I only own the plot.
