[SHORT STORY] People say curiosity kills But don't forget it can be a virtue too. ~~~Krist held his hand tightly on the steering wheel and all of sudden his eyes turned towards me, they had tears in them and I could hear him mumbling my name. The car turned over and spun like a top, flipped from the road to the gorge. Krist held my hands tightly, all I saw was his face, blood was running down his hair and it turned his eyes red, I could hear Techna calling out my name but I couldn't open my mouth. I couldn't see Nance nor hear her. I saw the car was about to hit the floor of the rocks lying below and I took my last breath...

and with the deafening mind of hers came a sorrow she submitted to. it was as if she was submerged underwater for years of her life, solely being focused on how everything was amplified beneath the surface. it was all very loud, similar to the volume of river rapids, and maybe the only way for her to subdue it was to plunge into the rapids themselves; allow the current to carry her body as far as it could. because all she wanted was silence, so silence she received. + lowercase intended. alternate universe. sad. sensitive topics. short story.

I like the sound of the waves. They're relaxing. It break the silence of the emptiness and loneliness of the place. As the water was reaching my knees, I heard a cry. I heard you.

There are two of us. I have two eyes. It is enough for us. "Never did I think somebody who was physically able would be able to love me in the past. I always thought it would be someone blind just like me, who could understand what it meant to be blind." she continued. "I am blindly in love with you. Whoever said love is blind was thinking of me" I replied. She used her hand to feel around my face, and it finally rested on my cheek. I smiled and placed my hand on hers, closing my eyes to savour the feeling. I was enjoying it until I felt a teardrop on my face and when I looked up, I saw she was crying. "What is wrong my love?" I asked, raising my head from her lap and looking straight in her face. "Don't you feel ashamed of being in love with a blind girl? Don't you think Blessing is better for you? Don't you get scared that your friends will mock you, What if everybody..."
