Matthias was born in sweden, with an average future. At least, that's what he thought, before his father decided his mother wasn't good enough, and moved to Norway with another woman. At the time he was 10 years old, and pretty smart for his age. At first he couln't believe his father would such a thing, but soon that disbelief turned into anger and sadness. Why would he do that, and why so suddenly?! When he passed the age of 13 he got involved in drugs, alcohol, parties, yada yada yada. But then, again something terrible happend. His mother got diagnosed with cancer, and died soon after that. His mother didn't have anyone on her side to take him in, so his father who heard that his ex wife died, took him in. He's moving to norway. To his father and his wife.
The summary is kind of long and definitely not the best, but please bare with me.

Even when she finally got a proposal from a guy that was once a childhood friend of her brothers, she wasn't convinced that he was the one but she said yes to avoid any more troubles with her mother. Her marriage was not what she had imagined it to be, her husband was a jobless man who lived with his mother. He actually got married to her because he thought she was from a rich family. He wanted a family he could live off. He didn't know that they didn't have all the glitters and riches and they were living in their past glory. He was patient enough with her. He tried all he could to hide his real self. After the birth of her daughter, they left town to make a better life for themselves that was when the real devil in him unleashed. He became unbearable, he beat her, and he sometimes threw her out in the cold and brought different types of women into their home. Even when she tried to develop herself, by venturing into a business, he tried all he could to wash it down the drain. She was torn between staying in the marriage and running away when she lost a pregnancy due to his battering. She wanted to leave because she was scared and she was scared of leaving because of what people would say about a woman leaving her matrimonial home. Waking up to a new reality
Eric was the younger of twelve year old twins, just approaching their thirteenth birthday. Although only six minutes younger than Lauren, she was clearly the alpha character when it came to sibling rivalry; she had an effervescent outgoing personality and exuded confidence in everything that she did. Eric, on the other hand, was introverted and largely lived his life in under the shadow of his sister. That was until Eric was diagnosed with a life threatening condition. Admitted to hospital for emergency life-changing surgery. Waking up a different person there was a new-found confidence and optimism that results in a metamorphosis into a life that is far from the shadows. Born out of Covid-19 lockdown, this was conceived as a light-hearted short story to counteract the doom and gloom that was resulting from the pandemic. It grew longer than expected, as I got to know Erin. The story might still be a bit rough round the edges, but I wanted to release it in time for summer vacation reading. There is no violence or hatred, just kindness and acceptance. For those that discount this as unrealistic of the real world, I counter two arguments: 1) It is a complete work of fiction. 2) My son went to Lycee (Senior secondary school) in rural France, where attitudes are generally very conservative. Despite this, there was a girl his his year, who believed she should have been a boy. HE was accepted for who he was, without prejudice. Hopefully it offers a little light reading with a happy ending. Not that the story is set in Scotland and the spelling reflects British convention, perhaps with some Scottish dialect thrown in.Terminé

-Don't mind the bad writing- Caleb was born in the body of an adult in the void between realms. From there he learned he was chosen to become the next Favourite of Nature. He practiced his powers there for a while before going to earth as a year old baby. He was found by his soon parents that adopted him immediately. Later that same day, the parents had Nathaniel, Ryan, and Reuben arrived. They became close immediately almost to the point of inseparablilty. So when fate laughed at them, it hit him extra hard. After his mother died, he was trying his best to stay strong for his younger brothers. He tried to stay with his dad worried that he would have the same fate. Turns out his fears were well founded as people appeared in the room, wasting no time grabbing him and his father. He had to watch in horror as they killed his father in front of him and set up his body as a suicide. They soon brought him to the magic dimension to see the extent of his powers and test on him. Luckily he made friends with Joseph Grandsire who frequented the lab and underlyingly hated what they were doing. After a year, Joseph was finally able to get Caleb out and through a realm gate. TLDR; Caleb arrives at a place full of people with super powers given the name "Supers". He later finds out that they are being tested on like he was and wants to help as much as he can. He makes some friends, some enemies, and some people inbetween. More inside!!Terminé
