Barren is a member of the Hajin race, a race of giants. He is framed for robbing a human caravan, this makes him despise humans. As the massive demon Titan attacks his race he is sent forward to present day, the day after the war Between the Hajin and Titan. With his hatred for humanity he survives off of killing and eating humans, then he turns into a crime lord.

The corpses of his father, his aunt and his uncle as well as those of his two cousins lied on the ground, lifeless. His lips shook as he wanted to ask for help, but from whom, there was no one else besides him in there. He looked up at the huge creatures that was staring down at him like if they were staring at their prey, maybe he was really their prey. He shook as he let the crystal sword fall down. " It's... Over..." He admitted it then. Although they tried desperately to fight those giant creatures that suddenly attacked them while holding on the smallest ray of hope, they couldn't defeat them. " It's over... Everyone is already dead... Everything is destroyed... We lost..." He kneeled down and accepted his fate. " If we just knew about this earlier..."
