Barren is a member of the Hajin race, a race of giants. He is framed for robbing a human caravan, this makes him despise humans. As the massive demon Titan attacks his race he is sent forward to present day, the day after the war Between the Hajin and Titan. With his hatred for humanity he survives off of killing and eating humans, then he turns into a crime lord.
