Until her 18th birthday, Emmaline Ravenswood had a completely normal life. She was the only girl and the youngest of four and she was undoubtedly the baby of them all. Her oldest brother Trent was in the army, Damien worked on cars at the local auto repair shop, and Matthias was in college studying to become a psychologist. 

Three days before her 18th birthday, however, she lost her parent's who were driving home one night. A drunk driver hit them head on and they died on impact. Ever since that night, no one in the house has been the same. Matthias and Damien barely speak as much as they used to, Trent calls home less often, and Emmaline threw herself into work and school to avoid feeling the heartbreaking pain of losing her parents.

When Trent comes home though, something isn't right. He's acting strange and is always on edge no matter where he is. No one else seems to notice the difference in Trent besides Emmaline. After being home for a couple of weeks, Trent thinks everything is back to normal until the impossible happens. 

All Emmaline wanted was her brother back and now she has to pay the price.
