Zombie apocalypse, need I say more?  Okay, fine I will.. It's about me, Taya Chiles, trying to survive in a zombie apocalypse after my whole family died due to certain..well, zombie and pixie circumstances..but there's someone else in this story too, someone who isn't me. Someone who plays a big role yet we've never met before, a mystery player in this game of survival. The major question though, who's the mastermind?

What would you do if one second you were struggling to survive with your friends and mother in tow, and then you wake up to find yourself with a group of strangers the next - all during the country's takeover of blood-thirsty zeds? Megan couldn't believe her eyes. Her brain was muddled with confusion she couldn't get rid of, no matter how many times those strangers reassured her and explained what happened. But she had to accept it, even though it didn't make any sense to her. Megan had been with her mother every step of the way since everything turned to chaos, beginning just a year before, and now she was nowhere to be seen. And on top of that, she had the zeds to deal with. Ghastly creatures that used to be human, carrying a virus that's spread through a constant hunger for flesh from the host, spreading through bites and scratches. It didn't exactly make it easy to prevent getting infected. Things could have been worse, though, Megan thought. She could've been left all alone to ponder over her thoughts and fear over the future. It'll only be within the time spent with the new group will she find out that everything's not as happy and welcoming as it had seemed. These people had a few secrets of their own, including the real reason they took Megan in. She would soon find out just how far people would go to ensure their own survival. -------------- Please check out my first finished novel. Book 4 in the To Be A Runner series. If you have not read books 1, 2 or 3, I seriously suggest you do before continuing in order to avoid confusion. An expectant mother, a shady government worker, an unexpected visitor, and the search for a cure. Yep, that sounds about right. It's been almost nine months since the world was saved from eternal happiness, but the world is still in danger. The dead still walk and we are still far from finding a cure. But we are still discovering new things. Veronica's hard at work, and with Abel teaming up with the Ministry nothing should be able to stop us. At least, that's what I thought. But there are things we still don't understand, things I'm not sure I want to understand, like the voices in my head, like the zombies that can almost talk and are what Veronica likes to call 'Sentient Type Zombies'. There are things that I'm facing that I'd rather just forget-things I'd rather not know about... But I can't be that way. I can't back down-not from the A.M.T.B., not from the voices in my head, and not from the overwhelming feelings that clog my throat and make it almost impossible to breathe whenever I see- No, feelings are not important now, not when a cure is available, not when he's busy worrying about his baby that's due to arrive and the fact that Paula's getting sicker and... I'm getting off topic. It's time for me to step up once again. My job as a runner is never done. Now it's time for me to step up and be a hero. Disclaimer-I do not own Zombies, Run! Friends and family turn on one another, losing control of their own minds and bodies. The Unaltered aren't safe. Even if the virus isn't attacking them, the ones with the virus are. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. Let's get one thing straight here, I'm not a hero (I totally am, but I hear that these days being modest is in fashion or something, so I don't know man). I never planned on being a hero. It kind of just happened. Clark's the bigshot. The fame, the girls, the attention. Me? I'm just his loser younger brother. Another rich Trackerson kid, but that quiet one with no personality. I'm kidding. I'm funny. I promise. I have to be. The name's Liam. The apocalypse wasn't easy on anyone, but it was harder on some. We made it okay. My family lives in a mansion, and we basically run this town. I come from a line of famous zombie-hunters. Not me, though. I kind of suck. I was never supposed to get bitten. I'm running out of time. I'm turning, and it's happening fast. People are rising up, feuds are breaking out, the world is ending all over again; and it's all up to me to stop it. Or something. Crazy, right? Alright, so people these days are kinda different. Especially when the z-pocalypse started. Now people, or survivors as I call them, are kinda different. Unlike our days before, they can either take in a group or a lone stranger to be in their group. But right now, they're all different. They'll bust in to your property with guns as confetti, bazookas as fireworks, and grenades as firecrackers. Now once they took over your territory, they can either unhook your soul from your body or give you a chance to see our terrible world again. But don't worry about me. I ain't one of them. My names Rory by the way. Anyway, enough the talking and more on the story. In these so called "WalkerDays" People are struggling to survive against the flesh eaters for what we mostly call zombies but in our world, we call them walkers. In the middle of the apocalypse, Rory is a 13 year old girl who is living in Atlanta, Georgia. Rory's father is military man and has been elected as the leader of their group after the true leader died. At first, their community is at Fort Benning, then a week or so later, their group decided to take over a part of Atlanta then slowly take over the whole city. Weeks passed and they'd completed their task and had a very large community. As months passed Rory's teacher assigned her to be the leader of her group of 32 people in her school. One day, there was an attack by the deaders that happened in their whole community and Rory led out her group out to the safe house but one member didn't follow the orders which caused her group to be separated away from her and then she decided to travel on her own and later met a group.

Seven lineages with three strains each, and each have their own unique set of traits that help us survive. But that's not what this story is about-at least, not really. This story isn't about how a hero will rise and bring the world back to what it was Pre-Fall. This story is about me, an ordinary Remanat living life through the world day to day as a mercenary. A beginner mercenary as everyone likes to remind me. The others in my group have been calling me 'Rookie' since I joined them three months ago. I'm beginning to wonder if they actually know my name. We have been hired to help the New Reach Caravan travel across the wastelands to Philly Del Phia, and this is the perfect opportunity to show them that I'm not just a dumb Rookie. I'm actually quite good at my job. I just happen to get distracted by one certain Eight-Ball, but it's not my fault he's good-looking, and charming, and funny... Anyway, all I have to do is help my group get the caravan to Del Phia. Should be an easy enough job. Just avoid the zoms and keep clear of the Raiders, and we should be fine... Right? I said to him. "You don't see yourself as one...but it sure does sound like your people do." The man said to me. "I'm sorry but---" I started to say but the man just started talking again. "You're not dealing with any old trigger happy man...that's for sure." The man said chuckling. "You're dealing with the man that rapes his sister, sliced a man's ear off, and hangs children over a crowd a risers." The man said. Trust and bonds are starting to form between the characters. They all thought they had this new world figured out, but they were all far from that. Friendships are formed and some grow stronger, and some are simply ruined. The group finds themselves second guessing who they can trust after the death of Julia. What will happen when the group finds Jackson? What will they do to him?

This book follows four teenagers from four different parts of the U.S. when their lives are dramatically changed one day. When zombies become real and more than just horror movies and scary books, they're forced to fight to stay alive. What they don't know is how similar their struggles are, along with their goal: get to the supposed safe haven alive. (The book is under editing right now, and I'll be changing the location of the safe haven from Columbus to Cincinnati. I didn't really think it through when I first wrote this but I think that Cincinnati would make a little more sense. Sorry for any confusion!) *************** BEING REWRITTEN I started writing this at 14, and it started out as something I made just for fun. The story was mostly imporvised, and I don't like how it's turned out. I've had a lot of new and hopefully more interesting ideas, and there's so much that I decided to rewrite the whole thing completely. The story will be very different but the characters will be the same for the most part. It'll have the same style of writing with the different points of view, but separated between books instead of chapters, and I already have a storyline laid for the first 2 or 3. I'm sorry for the people that like the original story and were hoping for more, so I won't be deleting this one. I'll update on my page once I start posting chapters of the new series.
