Elle Emerson had a nightmare that both her and her mother died in a tragic car crash. The dream felt so realistic until Elle awoke that morning more alive and energetic than ever. Pushing the dream out of her mind, Elle goes to school, running into a new cute boy by the name of Luke Bates. Elle and Luke become friends and instantly have an attraction to each other. When Luke finally admits his feelings to her, Elle believes everything is perfect- except the popular Amber Chance out to get her. Elle's perfect life doesn't last long when her mother tells her the car crash wasn't a dream and they are both actually dead. To make it worse, Elle only has 9 days to complete an almost impossible task or else both her and her mother's soul will just rot in their human bodies and never make it to the afterlife. Now Elle now has to somehow explain to Luke that the girl he loves is actually dead? Photo on book cover from: www.imgfave.com
