Sophia Taylor, an eleventh grade girl moves to London after living in New York for all her life. She struggles with the new atmosphere, which is all new and strange to her. Three 'cool' girls, Alex, Mackenzie and JoJo (Jordana) drive Sophia crazy by flirting with all the boys, especially one; Asa Butterfield. The actor that all the London kids have known since they were little, while Sophia never knew who he was. Nevertheless Sophia wants to talk to this sweet boy without the trio (Alex, Mackenzie, and JoJo). Soon she finds out that Asa lives on her street, and she starts developing a friendship with him built at the bus, at school, and at each others houses. But can that friendship go further?

So she's kept her feelings a secret, and she's done her best to suppress her emotions these past years, but she's realized that she's been so caught up in making people not notice her that she didn't realize how lonely she would be when no one was watching. Now meet Ryder Knight. School bad boy. Quarterback captain and heartthrob. The kind that wears a leather jacket and has tattoos all over his arms. The one who shows up to school riding a motorcycle. Just your average run of the mill "if you get involved with this guy, you will meet some serious trouble" kind of male. Well, too bad for Violet, she's stuck with him now. After all of the years of pushing away her feelings for Ryan because of her fear of being seen, she is now all anyone can look at- because of Ryder. Because of him, she can feel their stares, and she hates him for it. The longer they spend time together, the more Ryder starts to realize he actually enjoys being around her-despite her snarky comments about how much she despises him. And if Violet is being completely honest with herself, she's also starting to realize she might not actually hate the fact that people are noticing her now, but hate the way Ryder makes her feel.
