I'm weak and broken, tormented by monsters that keep reaching for me, touching my body, hurting me, living marks on my skin and soul. I didn't ask to be born into this world, none of us did but we make the best of it. I'm a twenty-five year old single man. Why you may ask? Because I've seen what love can do to a person. It can destroy them. My parent's are amazing but I can still remember the time's my father threatened to kill my mother, left us due to his mental illness. Besides who needs one main women when I can have a different one under me every night, money to blow and fast cars. I'm just enjoying my time until I take my Papes place at the throne. Most nights are spent living it up with my cousins who are my only friends. However there is the one girl that has caught my eye and I don't know why. I first spotted her at a random coffee house I stepped into. Usually I'm very talkative especially when I'm trying to snag a chic but I couldn't utter a word to her. I barely managed to place my order. Now, I find myself going out of my way to stop by that coffee shop everyday. It doesn't matter that it's out of my way. The only thing that matters is that I see her. I knew I could take her if I really wanted to but I can't make myself to do it. She sees me enter and shoots me that amazing smile and prepares my order without even asking what I want, she knows. She'll offer a greeting but all I can do is nod my head. She makes me lose my word's. Deep in my mind I wonder if she could be the one that could change my mind on love and that scares me. For now I'm satisfied at seeing her for the few minutes it takes to get my coffee. Besides I'm a killer, a future mob king and she's this delicate flower that wouldn't understand my world. Fictional story. When you have been a slave all your life, running and looking over your shoulder is not the way anyone wants to live. Hello everyone and thank you for contemplating reading my story. Before you start I would just like to state a few things. Although I have written a few books (Okay 3 books including this one) I mainly write to relax. This is the first time that I will be sharing my writing with others and I have a huge fear of rejections so please be kind in your comments. I welcome all comments even constructive criticism but please don't be nasty about it. Also, Yes you will most definitely find spelling and Grammar mistakes, and I'm apologizing in advance as English is not my first language but I decided to write in English with the hope that my story reaches more readers than it would if I wrote it in my home language of Afrikaans. Having said that I really hope you enjoy the story line and read all the way to the end. This story is a fictional fantasy but contains sex, violence, strong language, rape, abuse, slavery, blood, vampires, warewolved and witches, and reference to slavery and sexual abuse. If you're sensitive about these type of things or you find the above mentioned topics offensive than please do not read any further. If you do enjoy this story please read the follow-up called Hunting Aurora. I have done a lot of research on specific time areas and subject matters and tried to incorporate as much factual info as possible even though all characters are fictional. Trapped in my Worst Novel
Protagonists, the most important characters in stories. They're the ones that are supposed to save the world and be a symbol of hope for humanity, the ones that can defeat anything in their way if they want to, the ones whom the reader wants to win and succeed... ...Well atleast thats how a good heroic protagonist should be. I wrote three novels after dropping out of college at 20 years old. My first novel was a disaster, boring characters, recycled plot, and a protagonist so rude even I wanted to punch them. The next two? Absolutely amazing and really well-liked. I was ready to quit writing for good when i suddenly got hit by a car and woke up in someone else's body, someone i don't recognize at all, who goes to the exact same school from my first novel. Yeah. That happened, i'm screwed. Great. Now I'm stuck in a world full of arrogant, clueless students. Why couldn't i have entered one of my better stories?! And if that's not enough, the soul of this body won't stop yelling at me to "give their body back", as if i could do that, while a tiny version of them sits on my left shoulder and a tiny version of my 19 year old self from my past life rides the right shoulder. What even is happening anymore? Sigh...
