Raging Waters// Percy Jackson

There is nothing special about me. I am an 18 year old living in Los Angles that is just trying to get through the monotony of life. My life is simple, two older siblings, two parents, two best friends. And up until about a week ago, I thought I knew everything about myself. I'm allergic to peanuts, I love the smell of the ocean, and my temper can flare up at a moments notice. And then, two weeks before graduating high school, I was attacked by five very large, rabid looking dogs and my life changed forever.

"So how will I find out who my godly parent is? Frank and Reyna said I would be claimed but... When?"

"Don't worry, it'll happen eventually." He said with a wry smile. "We could narrow it down if you like. Which of you parents wasn't around much?" My shoulders slumped a little.

"Both of them.. I'm adopted." His eyes widened in surprise as his cheeks turned red.

"Oh, sorry.."

"It's fine its just.. I thought I knew who I was when I was adopted. I got these new siblings and new parents and now everyone's telling me that.. That's not my reality. That's not who I am."

"That is a reality Maria. This is just your second one."
