The Maw

In the spirit of Lovecraft, the story follows an anthropologist whose specialty lies in Sumerian mythology. She receives a letter and an icon from an associate working in what was previously the fertile crescent. Although she is content with what has been happening, the maw is consuming her, and luring her. Once she can see into the darkness, it is already too late for her. The maw will consume her.
