Three teenagers living in the year 2017, trying desperately to bring back the nostalgic grunge 90's era whilst a new president emerges. Human rights are being basically thrown out of the window, causing riots, stress, and loneliness. Family's being torn apart as these teens sit back and watch, having only themselves and small side characters to lean their heads on. The world is growing less simpler than 1997. Technology is growing.
Death rates are growing.
The amount of cigarettes being purchased are growing.
Living in the forest filled state of Oregon is tough for these three seventeen year olds enough with school, and local drama, but the whole country going through a "breakup" might push them over the edge.

A band. A bond to last a lifetime. The summer before their senior year, and Nick's freshman year of college, everything changes when Nick suddenly overdoses without warning. Now, the three of them are forced to rebuild themselves. Their loyalty to the band, themselves, and music is tested with the arrival of their new drummer as they all struggle with their own personal challenges. Will they be able to pull through? Will they be able to listen to their souls, themselves, without all the extra noise and pressure of the world around them? He laughs and its echo haunts my ears. "I don't think I'm insane; surely my entire situation is understandable. If it weren't, I would've been put into that asylum when I was younger." I stare into his doe mismatched colored eyes. What the hell did I get myself into? "America, you are insane." I repeat. I was truly at a loss for words and had conflicting emotions. "I see the world and it seems like I see it so differently than most other people. It makes me really angry most of the time. Especially since no one ever listens to me or what I've got to say. I try to express myself in so many different ways and no one sees it. When I sing a song people will only care about how the music sounds or how much I swore. If I paint, people will see the picture but not the meaning. It seems so obvious to me but everyone just seems to... close their eyes. Or at least shut off their brain. As if I see things they don't.
