Right after the Radiation Wars, depression struck Beatrice Eloise McHauligan when her younger brother, Eric McHauligan, passed away. Her mother sees the darkness she has isolated herself with and asks her older brother, Christian, to take her out of the dark by keeping her company throughout the last days of summer. Unfortunately, not everything works out. Soon, they encounter a misunderstanding that separates them.

Things get complicated when a love triangle occurs. Vladimir Alec Murphy, the boy who never had the courage to tell her finally does, but is caught when another admirer, Michael Ice, causes trouble which torments the lost heroine who is trying to pick up the shattered pieces of her soul.

Loyalty is tested. Bonds are broken. The truth unfolds. Will she ever find her place in this world?
