This book is about a nine tailed fox called silver..
Silver was once one of the king's royal guards. As a nine tailed fox that lived for many years, she was faithful to the humans that no one had any problems with her and all actually loved her for who she was. She had a small human family that took her in and she protected the kingdom as being one of the skilled guards there is due to her great intelligence. The king found out about a great legendary sword that would grant them great magical powers and he was greedy enough to want it. However every soldier he sent never came back so he decided to send the best of the best, Silver. She did as she was commanded and went to the so called witch's garden in which the sword was in. She brought the sword successfully to the king. That night...she couldn't sleep
she heard someone call for her, and whenever she closed her eyes she saw herself covered in vines and thorns just like how she found the sword.. and she couldn't escape...those dreams haunted her every other night. with every time she wakes up, she finds a thorn piercing through her skin.. Deciding that was enough she thought it'll all be fixed once she returns the sword..of course the king didn't let her and called her a liar and that she wanted the sword all to herself..however as soon as the king held the sword he was covered up with vines that had poisonous thorns.. he fell sick after that slowly and slowly dying.
Silver was kicked out they threw her out of the kingdom with that cursed sword.. That is when she met Rose..the blind witch..she was nice and was the complete opposite of what the humans told her. She was nice..kind and she gave silver all the love she needed and never got from the humans.
