Picture Perfect

Stella Hawkins' sister Amber dies in a terrible car crash. Being that she's out of the country photographing a warzone, she can't get back in time for the funeral. With their parents passed, her first thought is what has become of Amber's son, Corey. Writing letters to an old friend reveals that Corey has been taken care of, but details are lacking. When she finally returns, two months after her sister's death to Stillwater, North Carolina, she comes to find out that Corey is living with Amber's boyfriend. Being that she's never met her nephew's caretaker, she visits to make sure he's happy and safe.

She discovers that Amber had secretly been dating Stone Granger... her first love.

The immaturity and misunderstands that once drove them apart in their early college years come back to haunt them both, when she moves back to Stillwater permanently. She's not convinced that Stone Granger, the man who broke her heart and betrayed her trust, could serve for a proper guardian for anyone she cared about.

When strange clues come up while investigating another similar death, Amber's case is reopened as a homicide, necessitating an investigation be conducted. But Stella is not satisfied letting others find out what happened, she goes on a journey of her own to find out exactly what happened to her sister in Picture Perfect.
