Emily was 17, she had light black hair with blue highlights. She didn't consider herself fat, she didn't consider herself skinny either. She just thought she was in the middle, just the perfect weight for her height. Emily is 5'6. She also was light tanned with brown eyes. She kinda kept to herself and was shy. She only had 4 friends who she considered close or just friends in general and they were Julia,Taylor,Chris, and victor. They were the only ones who truly cared about her and loved her. Her father and mother separated when Emily was 5. She wouldn't consider her parents abusive. Her mom just kinda slaps her a lot. And her dad... Well he's a different story. Emily is going back to school when she runs into an old friend. Who she once had feelings for, same with him. Are they destined to be together? Or just forever friends?

Aaliyah/ Liyah- She's fierce and sassy. Has all the confidence in the world. Biggest problem? Hates people. Has one friend who she barely talks to. He looks to be about in the late 20s when Emily is 18. Mr. Young show her some interest. One thing lead to another and they spend a lot of time together. Emily finds out who her Professor really is. He also has a dark past. (His dad killed himself and mom took pills and died) Things happen between Emily and Asher. But hes had relationships with his students in his past. Emily doesn't know. Will Emily find out who killed her parents? And what dark past Asher has?

An Unexpected Moment

No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either.
