Adilah never realized how important her and her best friend's, Ambroccio's, lives were. Not in the depressed sense, either, but more in the, "I thought we were just normal people," sense. She thought that their miss-matching eyes were just a genetic mutation, nothing more and nothing less. She thought that the lack of color in their bodies was nothing to worry about, either. That is, until she meets someone who peels open her eyes and helps her discover what powers lay underneath their pale skins.
